About Bacon Press
-
Hello and welcome. This food blog is based in San Francisco and I'm Kevin, the guy who writes it.
You may know me from my brief, but violent and cracked out, appearance on COPS. Actually, that wasn't me - he didn't even look like me.
I'm more than happy to entertain you, but please don't be so shy. You can comment below or contact me personally at baconprss at yahoo dot com. Oh, and I like to eat sometimes.

MMMmmMmM, tri-tip. Did a nice one on Saturday, roasted it though. It sat in a teriyaki based marinade for about 6 days, crazy good.
Biggles
Meg:
I just called the cassoulet "ghetto" because:
A. It doesn't really follow the two cassoulet traditions (which are as fought over as much as Western North Carolina BBQ and Eastern NC BBQ).
B. It's made with cheap, smoked sausage.
C. The beans are canned.
And D. Well, because I'm kinda ghetto myself sometimes (ie., it's not a far jump from the trailer park to me). And besides, I say cassoulet, but in my mind I hear "po'k and beans".
However, it is pretty DANG tasty!
Biggles: I bet you can whip a pretty tasty Tri-Tip! However, I imagine most California good ol' boys would recoil in horror at the sight of Teriyaki sauce hitting their TT, which is odd, because I've seen them put some UNGODLY mixtures on theirs.
BTW, I heard you on that show you linked to...AWESOME! You were hilarious with the "it tastes good" remark.
k.
mmm chocolate!!!
