30MP: Emergency Room

The 30 Mornings Project was somewhat interupted today as Bruce and I found ourselves at the Davies Medical Center's emergency room at 1 in the morning and stayed there until 5 AM, which was about the time the fine doctors and nursing staff had deducted that Bruce had not appendicitis, but a kidney stone. They shot him full of morphine (I could've used a little myself), gave him a prescription for Vicodin and plenty of water and some booze, and called us a cab, which then drove us back home by way of the new Octavia Boulevard freeway extension.
By the way, the picture above is of my hand.

Hello and welcome. This food blog is based in San Francisco and I'm Kevin, the guy who writes it.
You may know me from my brief, but violent and cracked out, appearance on COPS. Actually, that wasn't me - he didn't even look like me.
I'm more than happy to entertain you, but please don't be so shy. You can comment below or contact me personally at baconprss at yahoo dot com. Oh, and I like to eat sometimes.

Oh, yeah! Kidney stones. While I haven't had kidney stones, had a bad kidney and went through the same pain, only mine would last 5 days at a time. Pale and shaking in bed all the while. The kidney is gone now, aahhhh good times.
