I am not sure all those members the GG restuarant association would necessarily agree with the campaign the organisation put forth, surely?
If I was a restauranteur I would be pretty pissed off, but then I guess there may be, as a restauranteur, some other compelling reasons that it makes sense to be part of it.
Of course I don't know what they are.
Hard to say, Sam.
As it stands, they're going to have to pay sick time anyway, if they didn't before - regardless of a Daly win.
I've said it before, but it bears repeating: The GGRA has consistently been anti-labor and have opposed pro-labor measures and candidates.
I would really like to know how it helps Roland Passot and the guy who owns the chain of Lee's Delis to be part of this association.
I'm not sure many of the proponents of sustainable cuisine (Carlo Petrini, Waters, Schlosser, Pollan, etc) would agree with policies and candidates that are anti-labor, anti-health care, and anti-living wage.
You know, policies of the GGRA.
The real question is, is support for the GGRA's policies the dark underbelly of crunchy, feel-good San Francisco restauranteurs?
You can search for GGRA members at

A16 and Incanto (argh) came up. Coi and Firefly did not.
Just being a member doesn't mean A16 and Incanto support GGRA's political campaigns, of course.
Bill
so i wonder why they join then?
why would they want to be associated with that?
